The evidence of the investigation no S 356/71 (IPN Bi 1/534, IPN BI 1/535) includes information about the execution of pharmacist Pilc and his son on the Reza Range near Narew towards the end of 1942 or in the beginning of 1943.
Aleksandra Z.: “I don’t remember the exact date but after the liquidation of the ghetto, either towards the end of 1942 or in the beginning of 1943, a pharmacist of Jewish origins and his son were hiding in Narew and neighbouring villages. The pharmacist was called Pilc – I don’t know his first name. One day Pilc voluntarily turned up at the military police station in Narew. I don’t know the reason for it. The police placed them in the local jail where they spent one day, I think. I saw them personally and passed food to them through a small window. On the next day I found out from the residents of Narew that Pilc and his son had been taken by the officers towards Bielsko Podlaskie and shot to death at the Reza Range, next to the road, just before Klejniki. […] Pharmacist Pilc was about 50 years old and his son was about 18 years old. After his death I heard that his wife and daughter, who were hiding separately, were also captured and shot by the military policemen from Narew, apparently near Trzeszczotki.” (a statement from 23 May 1973, no S 356/71)
