One of the mass graves in the city is meant to be located near the local cemetery in the Pólki suburb. Between December 1943 and July 1944 approx. 700 people taken from hideouts and shot to death near the headquarters of the Schutzpolizei were meant to be buried there. (IPN BU 2448/41)
